An exciting opportunity to join a well-established and collaborative Engineering Consultancy in Bristol has arise within the Facilities Management Team.
The FM Consultant will have blended technical knowledge and undertake the process of providing specialist advice on all aspects of the aftercare of buildings including Strategic and Financial Planning, Technical Services and Operational Support. From that, you will deliver technical excellence and high-performance sustainable solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Undertaking a range of surveys from condition, life cycle and performance assessment of buildings
  • Work to support decarbonisation, net zero and sustainability for existing buildings
  • Maintenance contracts, writing and tender specification and driving the FM market to digital and data driven solutions
  • Whole life carbon assessments, asset protection and plant replacement strategies for MEP services and facade components
  • Managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, while being able to deliver high-quality results
  • Appreciating the client's key objectives and developing solutions to meet these, including implementing sustainable solutions on projects
  • Inputting and actioning deliverables such as technical solutions, reports, drawings, scopes of work and specifications

Skills & experience

  • A solid background in engineering within the building services and good design understanding or knowledge
  • Degree or HND/C qualified
  • Working towards Chartered Engineer status with an industry institution such as CIBSE
