Red Recruitment is seeking confident and friendly individuals to take on the role of a Business Development Executive in Avonmouth, Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity where you will be calling this leading retailer's existing customer base to see whether they need any products at this time and to talk to them about new products in their range.

The salary for this position is 27,347 per annum.

Key Responsibilities of a Business Development Executive:

  • Managing a portfolio of customers by phone, maximising revenue, share of wallet and profit by building relationships, following up leads and identifying opportunities
  • Working collaboratively with the various departments to drive revenue and provide market-leading customer experience
  • Achieving sales and margin targets
  • Using reporting tools to identify gaps within customer purchasing and purchasing trends
  • Taking ownership of large orders and opportunities, ensuring they are delivered within set timeframes and customer expectations are met

Key Skills and Experience of a Business Development Executive:

  • Previous experience with outbound calling and demonstrable experience in using sales processes to exceed sales and margin targets
  • Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills
  • Experience in using data to identify spending gaps and drive key sales metrics
  • Significant experience in working to achieve individual and team targets
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office packages
