Security Officer

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for aSecurity Officerto join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

We are looking for aSecurity Officerwho wants to work in a diverse rolewhere no two days are the same.

As theSecurity Officer,you willprovide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

TheSecurity Officer,will be responsible for:

• Maintaining site security and integrity; patrolling; monitoring CCTV and managing
• Control access to the site/building permitting only authorised personnel.
• Using the Access Control System and CCTV, monitor/manage activity on site and in the immediate vicinity.
• Perform internal and external patrols of the site and building.
• Perform daily checks of alarm systems and system health.
• Monitor and respond to on-site alarm systems.
• Escalate issues as necessary to MDL Service Desk.
• Provide cover for other members of the security team as required.
• Perform random entry and exit searches.
• Deter and detect unauthorised entry to site.
• Detect and deter any damage/vandalism and report as necessary.
• Where necessary, deal with suspect packages in accordance with agreed procedures.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc tasks/responsibilities as directed/required by line management.
• Be flexible and adaptive to providing cover/support for absent colleagues

To be successful for this Security Officerrole you must have:

• Successful candidates will need to undergo extended security (DV) clearance prior to employment.
• Previous experience in the security field is useful but not essential.
• SIA Licence holder and CCTV trained.
• Good Communication skills, IT Literate, Customer focused approach.
