Your Time at Work
Working as a delivery driver you will be driving a van loaded with parcels and will be required to deliver to a number of locations in your allocated area. This is a Delivery Driver role where you'll spend the majority of your day out on the road - so a passion for driving is a plus!
The number of deliveries each day will range from 120 to 160 depending on whether you are doing small or large route.
Everything is prepared for you to load and go in 10 minutes. Parcels are already organised into individual bags for loading onto the vehicle. Routes are condensed so you will have a high number of deliveries in a small area. For example, you could have 20 + drops on 1 housing estate.
Your typical day will be 9 hours.
Parcels will be a variety of shapes and sizes but we do not anticipate any parcels to weigh more than 25kg.
Once you start you will be provided with training. This includes both classroom and on the road training as well as ongoing support..
