Role – Multi Drop Van Driver
Site Location: Avonmouth, BS11
Contract: Temp to perm
Shift: Monday to Friday – 6am /7am start depending on the route – 40 hour week
Pay rate - £11.66ph
gap personnel are looking to recruit a Multi Drop Van Driver for a client based in Avonmouth. Our client supplies stationery to customer, schools, prisons businesses and MOD.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who will support the business with multi drop across several route around the Bristol and the Somerset area.
The role
- Safely operate a van to transport goods to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed
The candidate
- Valid driving license – No more than 6 points
- Previous experience as a delivery driver
- Ability to handle heavy lifting
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations
- Comfortable with multi-drop delivery routes and lone working - Must have a proven track record within a multi drop role
- Attention to detail – Accuracy is key!
