Job Vacancy: Night Driver (Class 1 HGV) Immediate Start (Temp to Perm) - BRISTOL - BS34
Location: Various routes to showroom retailers
Pay Rate: £20.71 per hour
Start Time: 23:30pm - 10 hour shifts
Schedule: Monday night to Saturday morning shifts
Position: Class 1 HGV Night Driver
We're looking for a reliable Class 1 HGV Driver for night shifts, with the opportunity for this role to become permanent after a trial period. You'll be responsible for making scheduled deliveries to showroom retailers throughout the night, following a set route. This role includes light handling of goods, such as loading/unloading items and cages (no heavy lifting).
Key Responsibilities:
- Handballing: Moving cages and loose items (light not heavy).
- Deliveries: Delivering items to secure storage or lock-up locations, often using keys and alarm pads.
- Proof of Delivery: Using a scanner to track and confirm items after loading and at delivery points.
- Route Compliance: Following a specific route with just-in-time scheduled drops.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhering to all safe work instructions, driving hour regulations, and company policies using Sat NAV, WTD, and Safe Work guidelines.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year Class 1 HGV driving experience.
- Skills: Comfortable using a scanner for Proof of Delivery (POD) and navigating lock-ups with provided security details.
- Reliability: Ability to work consistently on the night shift schedule and adhere to routes and timelines.
- Compliance: Willingness to follow all safety, policy, and driving regulations outlined in the drivers handbook.
- Licences: Must have a full UK Driving Licence, CPC card and Digi card,
