Our client based in Bristol is looking for Class 2 drivers for refuse collection work for the local council for a temp to perm contract.
Apart from driving the vehicle the job might also consist of manual handling, moving the bins when necessary and helping out occasionally. Work is Monday till Friday starting between 0600 and 0700 and finishing 14:30 or 15:30 respectively. For first 12 weeks pay is 15.25 per hour and after going on contract it goes up to 16.67 per hour.
Driver will also be responsible for vehicle checks, using mobile IT equipment and completing daily paperwork. Sometimes you might also be required to work in various other departments, e.g. Recycling, Garden Waste, etc.
Our ideal driver:
- will have a good experience of HGV Class 2 driving (at least 1 year ideally)
- have a good knowledge of tacho laws and regulations
- will not be shy of manual labour if necessary
- have a positive attitude
