Job Specification: Shuttering Joiner
Location: Bristol
Start Date: 17th March
Duration: 4 weeks
Pay Rate: 25 per hour
Working Hours: 07:00 - 17:00 (Monday to Friday)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Shuttering Joiner to join our team for a civil engineering project in Bristol. The successful candidate will be required to carry out shuttering and formwork duties as part of a busy construction team. This is a 4-week contract with the possibility of extension depending on project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Constructing, installing, and repairing shuttering and formwork for concrete structures.
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications to determine the correct formwork procedures.
- Ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard, meeting both safety and quality standards.
- Working in compliance with all health and safety regulations on-site.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Working closely with other construction trades and teams to ensure the smooth progression of the project.
Essential Requirements:
- Valid Blue CPCS Card (essential).
- Proven experience as a Shuttering Joiner within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of shuttering and formwork techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Full PPE required.
- Strong commitment to health and safety on-site.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Previous experience on civil engineering projects.
- Own hand tools (desirable but not essential).
