Are you a culinary visionary with a passion for Mediterranean cuisine? Our client is seeking an Executive Chef to lead their kitchen in the Somerset area. This is a unique opportunity to set the culinary standard and drive the success of their esteemed restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development & Pricing: Innovate new dishes, refine recipes, and set menu prices to achieve financial and operational goals.
  • Food Sourcing & Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement of high-quality ingredients and manage kitchen inventory efficiently.
  • Kitchen Staff Management: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise all kitchen personnel, from sous chefs to line cooks.
  • Quality Control: Ensure food is prepared safely, meets their high standards, and is presented beautifully to customers.
  • Financial Oversight: Collaborate with restaurant managers to control food and labor costs, maximizing profitability.
  • Compliance with Health & Safety Regulations: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.

Requirements:

  • Extensive culinary expertise in Mediterranean cuisine.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a restaurant or food service operation.
  • Strong business acumen and people management skills.
  • Ability to drive the culinary vision and ensure the highest quality standards.
  • Driving License and Car Required: Occasional visits to restaurants for oversight and support necessitate a valid driving license and access to a car.
