Phillips Grant Associates are assisting a business exclusively to recruit for an Area Manager to support and guide a diverse team consisting of 6 people within operations, sales and support. To be successful in this position you will need to have a proven track record of managing a diverse team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the BDM, Client and Operational Teams activities and review progress through Performance Management Evaluation process V’s agreed objectives.
  • Schedule Branch sales meetings with Branch Sales Representatives to guide and share market information.
  • The management and overall responsibility of branch budget and profit and loss accounts.
  • Act as a key account manager for National accounts within your Branch, regularly attending sales meetings with your Business Development Managers.
  • Execute a Branch Strategic Planning Process and implement a Strategic Business Approach.
  • Maintaining existing accounts and increasing sales of all products.
  • Accomplish Branch objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees in your Branch.
  • Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions of all staff within your Branch.
  • Achieve Branch sales operational objectives by contributing Branch sales information and recommendations to strategic plans
  • Interpreting National action plans into your territory.
  • Enforcing policies and procedures set by the Company
  • Meeting Branch sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Establishing, maintaining and expanding your customer base.
  • Servicing the needs of your existing customers whilst also focusing on new business to grow the area.
  • Setting sales targets for individual members of the team and also the team as a whole to aid the overall branch performance.
  • Building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities. Recruiting and training staff alongside Human Resources to ensure all staff are recruited and trained in line with Company’s people agenda.
  • Allocating areas to sales people to ensure the area is covered and a sustainable amount of new business is won.
  • Monitoring your team's performance and motivating them to reach targets with regular 1:1 and performance reviews.
  • Compiling and analysing sales figures and reporting figures weekly to Operations Director.
  • Collecting customer feedback and market research from key stakeholders.
  • Keeping up to date with products and competitors within the industry to ensure our products and services are competitive and current.
  • Full responsibility of all sales compliance processes within your Branch or area ensuring company and statutory standards and laws are being adhered to at all times.
  • Closely working with Company Legal Counsel to ensure legal compliance.
  • Managing all day to day functions carried out at offices of the Branch.

Package includes up to £40,000 basic salary, £5,700 car allowance, commission, discretionary annual bonus, healthcare plan, contribution to gym membership, employee assistance programme and pension.
