Clear Choice Recruitment are currently working with an IT Managed Service Provider with big ambitions to establish the business as a leading provider of IT support services to local businesses.

Due to exciting growth plans they are seeking an energetic, hungry Business Development Manager to strengthen their team. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Business Development Manager is key to spearheading their growth. The role holder will be responsible for driving the acquisition of new customers in the company’s target markets for managed IT services.

This role is ideal for someone who combines business acumen with a positive mindset and a "can-do" attitude.

***Whilst this role does allow to work from home 2 days per week, you must be able to commute to their offices in Bristol (BS14) for the remaining 3 days per week***

Key Accountabilities:

  • Self-generate qualified leads and assess marketing-assisted qualified leads, progress as appropriate through to contract closure.
  • Understand and capture requirements from qualified leads that meet an established qualification benchmark
  • Develop proposals, negotiate contracts and close while providing the delivery team with the information they need to execute.
  • Maximise the contract value of all sales engagements, using the parameters of the pricing policy
  • Accurately/reliably track and report sales pipeline status
  • Attend prospect and customer meetings - in person or online - to provide expert information and demonstrations of value propositions.
  • Attend networking and other events as appropriate

  • Strong understanding of Sales Processes
  • Excellent interpersonal / communication skills
  • Team player with an ability to work across various teams across the company
  • Enthusiastic, problem-solving approach with a strong competitive appetite to close customer contracts
  • Initiative to identify and promote innovative new ideas to drive the business forward
  • A self-starter who isn’t afraid to generate their own leads and can hit the ground running
  • Someone who is credible, measured and confident
  • Has a track record of achieving target over several years
  • Someone who can successfully identify the relevant key decision makers and maintain this level of contact
  • Adept at presenting to all levels of executives in a range of environments
