Business Development Manager - Liquid WasteBristol£40,000 - £50,000pa + car allowance + bonusFantastic opportunity in the Bristol area for a Business Development / Sales professional with sound commercial knowledge of the waste sector, to join a forward-thinking industry leader. Ideally you will have experience of Liquid waste services, but candidates who have General Waste sales experience and are keen to specialise, will also be considered.Key Responsibilities:

  • You will identify and drive profitable new business growth through exploring the potential market to collect and transport waste liquid.
  • Developing and managing a detailed new business pipeline capable of providing a clear business forecast of expected volumes and over-achieving on targeted new business sales revenues.
  • Producing reports to give visibility of current activity and forecast new activity.
  • Working closely with the General Manager tankers to drive a growth strategy aligned with the needs of the business.
  • Accurately maintaining data within the CRM platform.
  • Liaising regularly with other commercial functions to share pipelines and best practice.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • General knowledge of the waste sector and ideally experience of selling Liquid Waste services.
  • Experience of successfully developing, managing and implementing new business services
  • Good presentation, selling, negotiating and influential skills.
  • Analytical and able to quickly assess issues and recommend and/or implement solutions.
  • Robust and resilient, able to absorb pressure and respond positively.
  • Experience of building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Pragmatic approach to delivering to tight deadlines and targets.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Sales professional with a background in the Liquid Waste sector. However, applications will also be welcomed from sales professionals who have sold General Waste services but are wishing to diversify and develop new knowledge and skills in a waste specialism.
