Marketplace Manager

In a nutshell, the Marketplace Manager is responsible for strategy and day-to-day management across the current marketplaces and for exploring new outlets.

This unique business has a comprehensive catalogue of 1,000 products across five brands, offering high potential for sales and growth. This is an exciting role for an experienced Marketplace Manager responsible for product and marketplace selection, pricing/commercials, and promotional strategy.

The position carries a refreshing level of autonomy to drive strategy, manage resources and shape the future of the marketplace business.

Responsibilities

· Develop strategic plans to drive revenue growth in all marketplaces, including seasonality plans.

· Product selection, pricing and margin targets.

· Forge relationships both internally and externally to support the business channel.

· Product and marketplace opportunity analysis with a strong data-led approach.

· Keyword research/listing search optimisation - leading on content enhancements.

· Leverages data and insights to maximise traffic and conversion rates.

· Partners with 3P vendors to allocate resources against online tactics

· Leverage business analytics to maximise sales and profit performance.

· Drive forecasting and inventory planning with the Operations team and partners.

· Communicate key information to leadership team including core metrics and strategic business updates.

· Manage the channel for errors, alerts, questions, and enquiries and resolve them urgently.

· Identifies marketplace issues and root causes, making recommendations for improvements.

Essential skills and experience

· Significant commercial experience in a multi-marketplace business.

· Successful track record of growing market share and revenue on marketplaces.

· Deep knowledge of Amazon algorithms and

· Experience with P&L - setting pricing & profitability strategies.

Further knowledge and skills required

· Strong focus on driving results.

· Excellent understanding of commercial strategy and analysis

· Ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve sales goals.

· Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.

· Excellent organisation skills with attention to detail.

· Tech savvy.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to successfully negotiate, persuade and present sales and product information.

· Proficient with Excel, Vendor Central, Seller Central and other online marketplace platforms.
