About the role:

In this new role of Fine Jewellery Sales & Brand Manager, you will elevate the Fine Jewellery category through brand development, luxury retail sales expertise and a strategy that creates theatre and excitement onboard our cruise retail outlets.

You’ll devise and implement onboard retail strategies to promote and model high quality retailing standards, continuously driving maximum sales results, superior guest service, talent development and engagement.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a passionate and experienced luxury retail expert to drive the future of the Fine Jewellery category in a growing, global business.

The role is offered on a hybrid working basis, typically with 1-2 days/week in our Avonmouth (Bristol) office plus frequent international travel for cruise ship visits and sailings.

Compensation – competitive salary, bonus scheme, pension, 4 x life assurance, medical cash plan, 25 days leave annually (including Christmas shutdown) 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop a cohesive fine jewellery selling strategy and implementation plan that encompasses training, event & seminar program, luxury selling protocol & customer service standards with the Category Director and supporting cross functional teams
  • Ensure that the customer remains at the centre of focus, delivering a superior brand and shopping experience that rivals our competitors
  • Collaborate with Category & Marketing teams to develop and execute directives and regional product campaigns
  • Work collaboratively with Operations and Category teams to identify actions for ships that require support, plan targeted activity, onboard strategy and training to maximise sales
  • Work with HR & Operation teams to review sales incentives, commission structures and competitive leaderboards to retain and engage retail teams
  • Collaborate with HR BPs and Learning & Development to develop a structured fine jewellery training program for new starters and ongoing training including selling strategy, brands and gemstone segments
  • Create and develop seminar, events, presentations and scripts leveraging seasons, itineraries and locations
  • Deliver effective performance coaching virtually, during ship visits and sailings – train sales teams to promote high quality retailing standards, product knowledge, selling techniques and guest service
  • Continuously analyse competitors and market conditions to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation

About you:

  • Robust experience in luxury sales management across traditional and cruise retail, with fine jewellery expertise preferred
  • Commercially minded, with a strong focus on business development and growth with the ability to work towards metrics and targets
  • Proven performing coaching ability with a strong record of clear focused strategy development and implementation in a fast paced retail environment
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels, in order to partner and influence business decisions within retail, cruise lines and cross-functional teams
  • Entrepreneurial and client centric mindset with meticulous attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Must have an existing right of eligibility to work in the UK
