Sales Team Leader - Exciting Travel Industry Opportunity

Are you a dynamic sales leader with a passion for travel? We are recruiting on behalf of our award-winning client, a specialist in tailor-made travel experiences, who is looking for a talented Sales Team Leader to join their growing team.

What Will I Be Doing?

As a Sales Team Leader, you will be responsible for maximising the performance of a team of Travel Consultants, driving them to achieve individual and team sales targets using a consultative sales approach. You will coach, inspire, and guide your team to enhance their sales techniques, deepen their destination knowledge, and excel in delivering world-class customer service.

  • Leading a team of up to 7 Travel Consultants, optimising their potential to convert enquiries into bookings at a high rate while maintaining exceptional customer service.
  • Ensuring all opportunities are maximised by providing the best chance of conversion and handling any complaints effectively.
  • Fostering a supportive team culture, motivating and inspiring individuals to reach their potential, whether they are office-based, hybrid, or fully remote.

What Experience Do I Need?

  • Extensive sales experience within the travel industry. Ideally you will have led a sales team for a travel business previously. We will also consider applications from Senior Travel Consultants who have some experience of leading and are looking for their next step up.
  • Strong complaint resolution skills, in line with a consultative sales approach.
  • Excellent coaching ability, with a passion for developing and guiding teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, whether in a professional or personal capacity.
  • First-hand knowledge of destinations such as Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia & Borneo is advantageous but not essential.

Competitive salary plus an OTE bonus of £6,000 based on team performance.
