Our client is seeking an outstanding Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a new four-bedroom children's home situated between Bath and Bristol. Our client is a well-established provider of supported accommodation in the Bristol area, known for delivering high-quality support for care leavers. They are now expanding into children's homes, placing children and young people at the heart of their approach.

The Registered Children's Home Manager will:

  • Register and manage a new four-bedroom children's home.
  • Lead and manage a team to deliver excellent child-focused care.
  • Work closely with the Responsible Individual (RI) and senior management.
  • Oversee routine meetings, supervisions, and probationary reviews.
  • Ensure safe and effective rota administration.
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the home.
  • Maintain compliance with legislative and regulatory conditions.
  • Manage the children's home budget in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Develop systems for consulting children about the quality of care.

The ideal Registered Children's Home Manager will have:

  • At least two years of management experience in a children's home.
  • Experience with children who have moderate Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Children's Act 1989, and Care Standards Act 2000.
  • Certified Diploma Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or willingness to work towards it.
  • The right to work in the UK and a full UK Manual Driving Licence.
