About the Nursery
This Nursery is a vibrant and nurturing environment where every child is valued and encouraged to explore, learn, and grow. This nursery is dedicated to providing high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months - 5 years old. We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Level 2 Nursery Nurse to join this Nursery and contribute to the positive experience of children in the nursery.
The Role
As a Level 2 Nursery Nurse, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day activities of the nursery. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, implementing the curriculum, and creating a fun and engaging environment. The nursery values each child's individual needs, and the Level 3 Nursery Nurse is essential in helping each child reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support the developmental needs of children in the nursery.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment within the nursery.
- Observe and assess the progress of each child, maintaining accurate records for the nursery.
- Work closely with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
- Engage with parents and carers to provide regular feedback on their child's progress at the nursery.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the nursery.
- Promote positive behaviour and social interaction among children in the nursery.
- Follow the nursery's policies and procedures to ensure the health and safety of all children.
- Personal Care
- Assisting with meal times
Qualifications:
- Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to the nursery's mission.
- Clear DBS on the update service
