About the Role
As a Nursery & Pre-School Assistant, you’ll be part of a friendly team helping little learners grow, play, and explore the world around them. Whether you're leading a messy play session, singing nursery rhymes (even if a little off-key), or helping with nap time, your role will be all about making sure children feel happy, safe, and supported.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Encouraging curiosity and creativity through play and activities
- Supporting children’s daily routines, from snack time to story time
- Creating a warm and welcoming environment where children can thrive
- Working as part of a team to keep things running smoothly
- Building great relationships with parents and carers
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine love for working with children
- Transferable skills (from personal life or another profession) such as empathy, understanding, kindness, attentiveness.
- Some experience in a nursery, pre-school, or early years setting (bonus, but not essential)
- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare (or a willingness to work towards one)
- A patient, caring, and energetic approach
- Great teamwork and communication skills
- A commitment to creating a safe and nurturing space for children
