Our client has an opportunity for a Facilities Project Manager to join them on a contract basis for an initial 12 months with potential for extension. You will be part of a small dynamic team of Facilities Project Managers based at the Bristol site currently managing a major site redevelopment; with this role focusing on business operational projects that ensure the day to day running of the site is maintained throughout this exciting period.
Role: Facilities Project Manager
Location: Bristol - 4 days onsite as a minimum
Hours: 37 per week
Clearance: BPSS required to start - full SC to follow
Hourly Rate: 36.67ph via Umbrella, inside IR35
What you'll be doing:
- Lead and manage facilities projects, ensuring optimal (M&E) system integration and performance.
- Oversee project development from initial design stages to final delivery, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- In coordination with stakeholders develop project requirements, support procurement and produce fully cost business cases to enable senior management funding approval.
- Manage projects up to 1 million in value, focusing on critical infrastructure upgrades and improvements.
- Develop project plans, coordinate with internal teams, and oversee external contractors to achieve project milestones. Have a key understanding of the RIBA stages of project delivery.
- Conduct thorough following processes and site inspections, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
- Implement robust project management methodologies, including risk assessment and mitigation.
- Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, executives, and directors, providing regular project updates.
- Utilise your problem-solving skills to address complex M&E challenges and ensure timely project completion.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in project management, with a proven track record in delivering projects within an operational site.
- Proficient in managing construction projects, particularly focused on H&S.
- Excellent project management skills, able to lead and coordinate teams effectively.
- Strong financial acumen, skilled project budgeting and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills and be able to influence accordingly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and "customers".
- Proficient in using project management software tools.
- Be the forefront of our business operational projects, where your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the success of critical infrastructure upgrades and improvements.
