Principal Civil Engineer- Bristol, UKREF: SO 13Salary: £55k
I am working with an industry-leading consultancy who are looking to recruit a Principal Civil Engineer to join their growing Infrastructure Engineering team based in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of projects and collaborate with a diverse range of clients across the UK.

The successful candidate will be part of an expanding team, helping to deliver high-quality services that create sustainable, successful developments. You will have the opportunity to work on a broad portfolio of infrastructure projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for leading technical teams, managing projects, and ensuring delivery of innovative and effective engineering solutions.
Requirements
My client is looking for an experienced and dynamic professional who has a strong track record of delivering infrastructure projects, particularly in the residential development sector. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Education & Experience: BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering or a related degree, with a minimum of 6 years' relevant post-graduation experience. Ideally, you will be Chartered or Incorporated with a relevant professional body (e.g. ICE).
- Project & Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead projects and teams, including managing workloads for junior members while overseeing the production of high-quality designs and documentation.
- Technical Expertise: Expertise in designing and managing projects related to highways, drainage, levels, and plot engineering. Knowledge of best practices such as Manual for Streets, CIRIA SuDS Manual, and Local Authority design standards.
- Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD
