PTS Site Engineer needed with rail track renewals and drainage experience in the South West of England. Looking for candidates with experience working with temporary works, track tamping, drainage install, drainage design, work package plans, task briefs, RAMS etc.

My client, a rail renewals contractor is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a long term contract based in Bristol and working across the South West.

The contract is carrying out track renewals and require an additional Engineer to join the team carrying out minor setting out but mainly paperwork duties. You will office based 70% of the week in Bristol and out on site for the remaining.

Please be aware this will involve working weekends where you will be paid an uplift.

This role is inside of IR35 - umbrella PAYE

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Producing As-builts
  • Setting out
  • Managing subcontractors
  • Read and review construction plans
  • Daily site diaries, daily record keeping
  • Carrying out quality inspections and paperwork as required
  • Ensuring health and safety on site

Candidate requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Valid CSCS card
  • PTS
  • Experience managing civil rail projects
