Senior Civil Engineer

I am actively seeking a skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join a busy, successful Multidisciplinary Consultancy based in Bristol. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will assist in managing and leading one of their busiest teams where you will have the opportunity to plan and check detailed designs for industrial, residential, education, commercial, and leisure projects.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be someone has relevant knowledge and experience in Civil Engineering, as well as a related degree in an appropriate 'built environment' field. Knowledge of technical software with AutoDesk, AutoCAD and Civil 3D is beneficial but not essential. Preferably the applicant will be studying towards the following:
- Institution of Civil Engineers
- Or similar learned professional/society body
It is essential for the candidate to have a professional and commercial viewpoint through having the following:
- Previous experience of Suds, FRAs and Pre-Planning Advice
- Previous experience of WinDes, Tuflow, HECRAS and MicroDrainage
- Experience of dealing with highway and drainage designs
- Understanding of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, etc
Duties and responsibilities for this Senior Civil Engineer include:
- Communicate and interact with external clients and professionals. i.e., Water Authorities, Local Highway Authorities and Environment Agency etc.
- Managing the team effectively through supporting training and professional progresses of projects
- Provision of 3D ground models for vertical road profiles, cut and fill exercises, volume calculation, etc.
- Attend meetings, planning committees, public inquiries, public exhibitions and site inspections when needed
