We have an opening for a Civil Engineer based in the Southwest to join our clients expanding Bristol team. This role is biased specifically towards drainage so being experienced in FRAs, preplanning advice and documentation to support planning applications and designing Civil engineering schemes and reviewing, checking and approving designs is vital.

You will work to support engineers and technicians to deliver the Civil engineering designs whose scope will vary in value from small domestic projects up to £20m in construction value.

The role

  • Managing your project workload to achieve programmed deadlines
  • Supporting other team members in the delivery of items within your ability
  • Prepare layouts in AutoCAD and with the support of technicians
  • Advising junior staff on solutions and supporting other team members on developing solutions
  • Carrying out inspections, site surveys and assessments and preparing reports

What you need to succeed

  • Experience in development of solutions for sectional applications, including S106, S185, S278 and EA applications.
  • Wealth of experience in private design networks using Civil 3D, PDS or Microdrainage / Causeway Flow.
  • To be able to confidently liaise with clients to verify project scope and ensure deliverables is vital.
  • Can carry out inspections, site surveys and assessments and preparing reports and preparation of tenders and fee proposals
  • You must have 3+ years UK experience in a design consultancy with a Civil Engineering degree.
