An unusually exciting opportunity to work within one of the South Wests hottest start-ups has come up for a Building Civil Engineer with good Python programming experience. Rather than heading out to sites you will be in their smart Bristol office offering your expertise, consulting and modelling solutions on an application that will help to reduce costs and carbon footprint for homeowners.

What skills youll need

  • A degree in Architecture/Civil Engineering or a related field is essential.
  • Proven professional experience in building design.
  • Proficiency in programming Python and MATLAB.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or any CAD software.
  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate calculations in system design.
What youll be doing

Theyre looking for someone to join their small but ambitious team who can work with them on their digital twin application and who truly understands buildings. Youll know how to work with data and have a proficiency with Python and MATLAB. Working with developers and data scientists, youll play a key role in the success of the business which has already won significant investment and contracts with local authorities. A knowledge of sustainability projects is welcome and someone keen to offer up new ideas and thrive in a small team and fast-paced environment.
