Your new roleThis role facilitatesthe delivery of the Disposal Strategy through reactive and proactive OptionAppraisals to ensure our homes prioritise the health and wellbeing of ourresidents. The role will lead the Option Appraisal Panel and present thefindings and outcome of the option appraisals carried out on those homesbrought forward for consideration, completing the scoring matrix on behalf ofthe panel and make the final recommendation to the Executive. What you'll need tosucceed To succeed in thisposition you will require the following:Degree, HNC, HND, BTECHND, in a building discipline or relevant experience and training.Experience working asa social housing or residential property surveyorExcellent knowledgeand understanding of:Building and housingregulations and legislation.Landlords' statutoryrepair, maintenance and health and safety responsibilities, including fire risk.Asset ownershipincluding freehold, leasehold, S106 restrictions or other restrictingcovenants.Ability to write highquality documentation and reports.Track record ofdelivering excellent customer service, even whilst working under pressure.Ability to communicateclearly and accurately with a wide range of internal and external customers.While additional keyresponsibilities for the role are as follows, Facilitate delivery ofthe Disposal Strategy through reactive option appraisals of void homes that nolonger make a positive contribution to the organisation and are not of aquality we want for our residents.Leading the OptionAppraisal Panel and present the findings and outcome of the option appraisals.Provide accurateanalysis and specification of works and costs to provide detailed evidence forthe Option Appraisal report.Be able to interrogatesystems data to provide historical repairs information for the Option AppraisalReport and use building pathology to interpret future investment requirementsincluding zero carbon investment needs.Work closely withteams in the Homes Directorate to understand challenging archetypes and whereappropriate, seek solutions to overcome these with investment colleagues orbring them forward for option appraisal consideration.Lead on complex worksfor the directorate including but not limited to remodelling works, structuralworks, insurance works,What you'll get inreturn In return, you willreceive 30 days annual leave, £700 a year health and well-being bonus.
