Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor to join our market leading and growing Bristol based team.

The role will provide the opportunity to work alongside industry experts, delivering clear and commercial advice to clients. The role offers excellent routes to success with prospects to learn and progress your personal and career development.

Our surveyors work across logistics, commercial business space and retail sectors. We undertake project management and design and contract administration across a range of project-based instructions, including new-build, major refurbishment and more focused repair or M&E upgrades. We also undertake professional building surveying instructions including dilapidations, technical due diligence and building defects and pathology investigations.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering instructions on a broad range of building surveying service lines and disciplines
  • Engaging with clients to understand their requirements and ensure instructions are delivered on time and to the highest standard
  • Building your own connections both externally and within the business in order to widen the team’s client and knowledge bases
  • Embracing opportunities to grow your personal and the team’s fee income
  • Working as part of a team to support junior and senior colleagues

Key Skills

  • MRICS qualified
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role
  • Commercial awareness – good understanding of business principles and strategy
  • Good written and verbal communicator
  • Strong organisation skills, with the ability to handle multiple instructions with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
  • Self-starter - able to work independently
  • Strong integrity and able to develop relationships of trust
  • Willingness to innovate and develop business in new sectors
