Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a prominent global engineering and project management firm renowned for its comprehensive solutions across various sectors. They are looking for a Senior Fire Engineer to join their team in Bristol. This company are dedicated to delivering sustainable and cutting edge projects around the UK and internationally.

The role:

This is a perfect role for a Senior Fire engineer to further their career. The successful candidate will be working as part of a national practise of design professionals who deliver fire engineering design solutions. You will take responsibility for your own projects but also work collaboratively. You will work in a range of sectors from residential buildings through to rail transportation or new energy facilities.

Role responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple engineering projects from inception through to delivery in support of fire safety standards and codes.
  • Support the delivery of project work within time and cost budgets.
  • Keep up to date with regulations and legislation.
  • Developing fire engineering solutions on projects and ensuring the fire engineering strategy delivered.
  • Assess fire related risks in projects and working collaboratively to mitigate where possible.
  • Prepare reports, participate in meetings, and liaise with client representatives as required.

The ideal candidate:

  • Degree in Engineering, preferably Fire Engineering.
  • Track record in successfully delivering fire safety projects, but other sectors will also be considered.
  • Keen to work towards a chartered fire engineer status.
  • Experience working with fire standards, such as BS9999, NFPA 130, BS9992, EN45545.
  • Ability to write accurate reports.
