About Our ClientOn behalf of our client, a leading UK financial institution, we are seeking talented Java Engineers & a Tech Lead to join a flagship team embarking on an ambitious technological transformation, migrating to a cutting-edge microservices architecture on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The OpportunityThis is your chance to play a crucial role in shaping the future of financial technology! You'll be at the forefront of a digital transformation, working on:
- Migration from monolithic systems to microservices architecture- Implementation of GCP's advanced cloud technologies- Development of event-driven systems and API-first design- Adoption of DevOps and CI/CD best practices
Key Skills Required- Strong proficiency in Java 8+ and Spring Boot- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably GCP- Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)- Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines- Experience with agile methodologies
Desirable Skills- Experience with event-driven architectures- Knowledge of API gateways (e.g., Apigee)- Familiarity with NoSQL databases- Understanding of the financial services industry
