VertaseFLI is one of the largest and most respected technically qualified remediation contractors in the UK. We encompass remediation design, all the readily available and commercially viable remediation technologies, major earthworks, groundworks, civil engineering and also landfill construction. Projects range in value from tens of thousands to multi million pounds and are undertaken all over the UK.

We are looking for a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor/ Commerical Manager (RICS would be desirable but not essential).. The ideal candidate will have worked within any of the following sectors: - construction, civil or structural engineering or similar

It is essential that you hold a UK driving licence as you will be travelling out to sites across the UK when required to review progress and levels of resource. This may involve staying away from home on occasion. Location can be flexible but ideally commutable to either Portishead, Bristol or Barlborough, Sheffield as your office base.

In summary you will be responsible for the commercial delivery of a number of successful projects in terms of application and cash flow management, cost control, accurate budgets and forecasting, programme certainty and securing additional works.

This will entail regular communications with the team as well as monitoring and maintaining efficient use of plant, personnel and materials to identify efficiencies and savings.

The most important aspect is that you have strong interpersonal and communication skills and possess excellent negotiating skills. It is a given that you have had comprehensive contract experience with NEC, JCT, or ICE and have already had extensive client facing experience.
