THE COMPANY

THE OPPORTUNITY

A role model in leading and managing the commercial functions of the business, from order in to post work completions, taking on the overall responsibility for the delivery of KPIs by managing the team’s training and development needs, priorities and workload to ensure the business delivers to target profitability on every project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Cost management.
  1. Tender analysis and estimation cover as and when required
  1. Submitting interim applications/valuating works monthly
  1. Delivering tendered return rates on projects, or better
  1. Conducting and attending pre-let meetings as and when required
  1. Attending client meetings
  1. Record keeping in general
  1. Checking sub contract order values against quoted rates and figures
  2. Team accountability – Monitor KPIs and reviewing quarterly and annually to ensure on track, reporting any concerns to CD
  3. Conduct weekly team meetings - to assess and re-evaluate workflow and timescales.
  4. Reviewing, updating and implementing Golesworthy's standard terms and conditions
  5. Advising directors on viable clients and projects to price for
  6. Collaborate on creating, implementing and updating processes and procedures where required
  7. Compiling commercial and progress reports for directors
  8. Measuring actual results against targeted figures quarterly
  9. Measuring turnover against targeted quarterly
  10. Managing financial dispute resolution on contracts
  11. Any other reasonable duty requested of you by your line manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Achieving KPIs from a commercial/production basis
  1. Achieving tendered (or better) GP of sales
  1. Compile monthly sales and budget analysis and measure against forecasts. Update if necessary

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  1. A methodical and measured approach to tasks
  2. The ability to work to timescales and under pressure
  3. Excellent communication skills; able to communicate to a wide variety of people – from corporate clients to fitters.
  4. A sound commercial approach to problems and solving them.
  5. The ability to produce accurate, professional reports, plans, site requirements and quotations for clients.
  6. Management and interpersonal skills
  7. HNC qualification desirable
  8. A good working knowledge of construction and/or flooring industry desirable
