Client Services Director – Media AgencyLocation: Dual office base (Leamington Spa/Swansea) with flexible hybrid working and UK travel.Salary: up to £70,000 (DOE) + bonus (performance-based).We're working exclusively on behalf of a highly regarded media agency that ranks among the top five in its specialist field. They are deeply embedded in the higher education sector, partnering with leading institutions across the UK to deliver innovative and results-driven media campaigns. As their team continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Client Services Director to take the lead in driving exceptional client delivery and agency growth.This is a senior role that demands a strong background in the media sector, along with a proven ability to lead agency teams, manage complex accounts, and contribute strategically at the highest levels.About the RoleThe Client Services Director will oversee the media agency’s client services function, managing key relationships, ensuring operational excellence, and driving commercial success. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will involve leading multi-disciplinary teams across two UK offices while maintaining a focus on service quality, profitability, and innovation in campaign delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Relationship Management
  • Act as the senior point of contact for high-profile clients, building and sustaining strong, long-term partnerships.
  • Oversee the negotiation and renewal of client agreements, including the development of SLAs, regular reviews, and performance tracking.
  • Lead on the strategic delivery of media campaigns, ensuring they align with client objectives and industry best practices.
  • Leverage advanced planning tools (e.g., TGI, Nielsen) to deliver data-driven insights and value for clients in the education sector.
Commercial Growth
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategies for business growth, including leading pitches and tender responses.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to grow existing client accounts and diversify service offerings.
  • Ensure client accounts achieve both revenue and profitability targets while maintaining the highest standards of delivery.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Manage and inspire a team of 15 including Account Directors and their supporting teams, fostering a high-performing, client-focused culture.
  • Promote collaboration across the agency's regional offices and cross-functional teams (creative, digital, media planning).
  • Provide mentorship and development opportunities to strengthen team capability and career progression.
Financial Management & Reporting
  • Take responsibility for gross profit reporting and accurate financial forecasting across client accounts.
  • Drive efficiency in account management to maximize profitability while retaining a focus on quality and service.
  • Regularly update senior leadership on financial performance, risks, and opportunities for growth.
Strategic Leadership
  • Actively contribute to the senior management team, influencing the direction of the agency’s growth and operations.
  • Represent the agency at key industry events and client meetings, enhancing its reputation within the higher education sector.
