About the Role

Join Hargreaves Lansdown as our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Engagement & Comms Manager, and play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of inclusivity and engagement.As a key member of the Organisational Development management team, the DEI, Engagement & Comms Manager will support and embed our DEI and engagement strategy, roadmap, and action plan. You will also be responsible for running our global employee listening & engagement plan, and reporting and communicating with stakeholders, colleagues and communities. Your role will involve working closely with senior leadership, employee networks, and various stakeholders to ensure our initiatives are effective and aligned with our organisational objectives.

What you'll be doing

  • Collect and analyse DEI data, track progress against OKRs, and conduct external benchmarking.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Board to agree on DEI and engagement strategies and maintain oversight of progress through the DEI taskforce.
  • Provide oversight and support for Employee Networks.
  • Design and deliver DEI initiatives, engagement communications, and coordinate with the L&D team for relevant training and development.
  • Implement the listening and engagement plan, assess results, and engage with stakeholders to drive improvements.
  • Identify and manage external vendors and partners, reviewing their impact and effectiveness.
  • Develop content that showcases Hargreaves Lansdown's employer value proposition for internal and external platforms.
  • Engage and communicate with internal employee stakeholder groups and external membership and advocacy groups.

About you

  • Experience in Financial Services with an understanding of regulatory requirements and contextual obligations.
  • Deep subject matter expertise in DEI, with knowledge of external trends and best practices.
  • Previous experience engaging with senior stakeholders and producing Board-level papers and proposals.
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering bespoke DEI and/or engagement interventions in a corporate environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data assessment and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with internal and external advocacy groups.
  • Experience with internal survey platforms, preferably Peakon.
  • Experience in designing and deploying internal communication tools, preferably SharePoint.

Interview process

Will entail a 2-stage interview process, including competency based questions and a case study

Working schedule

This is a full time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week. Hybrid working is available - based in our head office in Bristol, BS1 5HL, with a minimum of two days in the office per week
