CNC Turner
30,610 per annum or 15.91 per hour, plus overtime, Permanent, Keynsham BS31, 33 days holiday, working Monday to Friday 37 hour week , core hours 7.30 - 15.30, early finish Friday, pension, parking.

Our client is an established and respected manufacturer who operates a friendly team of engineers and has an opportunity to work in a temporary contract as a cnc turner or manual machinist where you will manage your own workload with jobs allocated from the engineering supervisor.

The CNC Turner and manual machinist role involves:
CNC Turning
Manual Turning
Machining precision parts and components
Producing one off's and small batches.
Reading engineering drawings
Working to non-aerospace tolerances
Install programs including keying from a drawing and downloading from databases, setting and operating as required
Select appropriate materials for each job as described in the drawings
Self inspect components and report any manufacturing errors to line manager so corrective action can be agreed

The successful is likely to have served an engineering apprenticeship as a skilled cnc turner or manual machinist. However candidates who are time served in machining could also be suitable if they can demonstrate a suitable track record in cnc turning and manual machining. Work is not for the aerospace industry, so tolerances are not quite as demanding as this sector.
This would be the ideal role for someone who has worked as a cnc turner or manual machinist experience in any of the following controls would be of interest Heidenhain, Siemens, Fanuc, Mazak
