Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, save, and report failures in the field.
  • Troubleshoot waterjet machines and components on the telephone and on site.
  • Give maximum technical support to customers to minimize downtimes.
  • Perform installations of waterjet cutting systems independently until final acceptance mainly in UK and other European countries.
  • Create professional picture of Technical Service in the field.
  • Give customer start up training and provide safety training for CE-compliancy.
  • Provide technical information to customer during installation, training and service visits.
  • Willingness to mainly travel during the week and change working places by short notice.
  • Work overtime as necessary, sometimes including weekends.
  • Stay on site until the problems are solved and job is finished

Your profile:

  • Mechanical and electrical engineer (both), mechatronics engineer, technician, electrician or other qualified job related to manufacturing and technical services within the machine tool industry.
  • At least 5 years work experience with CNC machine tool installation, commissioning and training in the area of motion control systems in the field (e.g. CNC, PC, PLC).
  • Ideally CAD/CAM experience (use and training).
  • Intensive CNC Machine Tool knowledge in mechanical, electrical, software and hydraulic diagnostics.
  • Professional usage of modern diagnostic tools.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Fluent English (written and verbal).
  • Customer oriented, positive attitude and independent.
  • Flexible in location of work and willing to travel.
  • Valid drivers license (maximum 6 points).
  • Full Passport & documentation to support permanent UK residence and employment.
