Positive Employment is currently recruiting for an Repairs Co-Ordinator for our client a local government organisation in Bristol.

The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling repairs and tasks to colleagues out on site including allocating repairs and ensuring tenants/stakeholders are kept informed of any delays or changes to repair appointments and rearranging as necessary.

This contract can be for up to 18 months with a possible fixed term or permanent contract at the end of that period. The work will initially be fully office based for the first couple months, then will transition to hybrid working.

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Scheduling repairs and tasks to colleagues onsite, keeping residents updated at all stages of a repair, keeping accurate notes of actions and conversations, investigating repairs and raising new repairs, managing shared team email inboxes.
  • Liaison with onsite colleagues throughout the day, to minimise delays with repairs.
  • To act recognise and act on Health & Safety issues.
  • Working closely with trade managers & supervisors to effectively plan resources.
  • Make outbound contact to customers/stakeholders as required and make enquiries on behalf of customers/stakeholders and arrange appointments.
  • Ensure operatives have acceptably completed repairs using their mobile devices and give feedback to trade managers and supervisors if there are any issues.

Personal Requirements:

  • Strong customer service & IT skills are essential, as is an ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Qualification in GCSE Math’s and English or equivalent qualification or experience that demonstrates ability within these areas.
  • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills, and telephone manner.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a repairs and maintenance environment (Desirable).
  • Knowledge or experience of organising repairs using a scheduling system (Desirable).
  • Understanding of real time workforce management (Desirable).

Working Hours: 37hrs / 8:00am - 16:30pm / Monday to Friday

Pay: £17.50 per hour

Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
