Our client is a renewable energy installation company specialising in delivering solar PV systems for the commercial sector.
Due to company growth, they are now seeking an Assistant Roofing Supervisor with experience in Solar PVÂ join the team.
This will be a role based on site, you must be willing to travel and stay away as the location of projects will vary.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for supporting the team leader in managing the Solar PV installation process and team coordination. This would suit a candidate who holds 2 years of experience within Solar PV installs, ideally with 6 months of experience within a supervisor position.
Experience within the commercial rooftop sector and flat roof systems would be beneficial.
Package:
- £33,000 - £36,000 per annum
- 28 Days Holiday
- Monday – Friday
- Overtime and weekend work available
- All expenses covered when staying away including accommodation and meal allowances.

Responsibilities:
Conduct site assessments and pre-start surveys to identify potential issues and confirm site readiness for solar panel installation.
Oversee the installation process to ensure compliance with design specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and building regulations.
Enforce and uphold safety standards on-site to maintain a secure working environment.
Provide training and support to installers and trainees, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing.
Report progress and any issues to the Team Leader promptly.
Assist in workforce planning and scheduling to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently.
Implement quality control measures to uphold high standards of workmanship.
Requirements
- Green CSCS Card
- Full UK driving license
- SSSTS or SMSTS – (desired)
- Willingness to travel and stay away is a must
