Contracts Manager
  • We are seeking a Contracts Manager to join a successful contractor based in Bristol. This role involves overseeing 3-4 projects at varying stages in the construction process, including preconstruction and delivery, ensuring projects are built to spec and delivered on schedule. The projects range from residential, student accommodation, to commercial, with values between £1 – 5 million.
Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee multiple construction projects from start to finish.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage and coordinate with subcontractors and other construction professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with current building regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular site meetings and set benchmarks for project performance.
  • Handle the preconstruction phase, including project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and prepare reports on project status.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Contracts Manager in the construction industry.
  • Strong background in refurbishment work, with experience in student accommodation or residential projects preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
