Your new companyYour new company is a Construction Specialist with a history of delivering high value schemes across the Education, High Rise Residential, Commercial and Leisure sectors, both new build and refurbishment. The company are looking to recruit a Project Director to oversee a high rise scheme in Bristol. This role will suit an established Project Director / Operations Manager or a Senior Project Manager looking to take the next step in their career. Your new roleAs the Project Director, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of this £30m+ high rise residential project. You will be responsible for managing the project team, ensuring project milestones are met, and delivering the project on time, within budget, and to QA / H&S standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning:Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Team Management:Oversee and support project managers, engineers, and other key team members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Risk Management:Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure project success.
  • Stakeholder Communication:Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Quality Control:Ensure all projects meet the company's high standards for quality and safety.
  • Financial Oversight:Monitor project finances, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency

What you'll need to succeed

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred but not essential.
  • Work History: Tier 1 Main Contractor working history preferred. Applicants with Tier 2 with proven delivery of high value schemes will be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience in project management within the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex projects.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of construction management software and tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Project Management: Familiarity with project management methodologies and related programming software
