Public Liaison Officer - Major Highway Project - BristolRandstad are recruiting for an experienced Public Liaison Officer to join a major highway project in Bristol. This is a freelance contract role offering a competitive rate and the opportunity to work on a dynamic project within a leading construction company.Responsibilities:* Act as a key point of contact between the project team and the local community.* Provide information and updates to residents, businesses, and other stakeholders about the project.* Address concerns and manage expectations, ensuring effective communication and community engagement.* Facilitate meetings, workshops, and public consultations.* Develop and implement communication strategies to keep the community informed about the project.* Identify and manage potential issues or conflicts, working to resolve them in a timely and effective manner.* Prepare and maintain records of communication and engagement activities.Essential Qualifications:* Proven experience working as a Public Liaison Officer or in a similar role within the construction or infrastructure industries. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and gain trust with diverse stakeholders.* Strong understanding of community engagement principles and best practices.* Experience in managing stakeholder expectations and resolving conflicts effectively.Desirable Qualifications:* Experience working on major highway projects or similar infrastructure schemes.* Knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines related to public consultation and community engagement.* Experience with communication and engagement software and tools.
