Summary

Our client is seeking a passionate and skilled Communications & Training Specialist to join their Strategy, Policy, and Reform team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver communication strategies that enhance engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Communication Materials:
- Develop engaging written and visual content to support policies and initiatives.- Create diverse media content, including website updates, emails, and videos, ensuring customers navigate the complexities of reform seamlessly.- Design and execute a comprehensive 12-month communications plan, adapting strategies to meet evolving stakeholder needs.
- Thought Leadership Development:
- Collaborate with teams across the organisation to shape connections reform through impactful external communications.- Forge relationships with industry publications to proactively highlight key topics ahead of peers.- Lead joint communications efforts with other Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) to enhance industry guidance.
- Internal Engagement and Reporting:
- Work with various business units to implement a dynamic reform communication strategy.- Provide insightful reporting on policy and reform progress, highlighting challenges and opportunities.- Cultivate a network of communications advocates to foster understanding and adoption of new initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has a knack for translating complex information into digestible content, ideally with experience in the energy sector.
- Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to convey complex policy topics to diverse audiences.
- Is collaborative and has experience engaging with industry groups, government bodies, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Is driven by a passion for communication excellence and is eager to contribute to the UK's transition to net zero carbon.
