Crane Technician

Alecto Recruitment is working with their client in their search for an experienced Crane Technician to work on site in the Bristol Area on a Monday - Friday basis.

What You'll Do:
As a crucial member of our maintenance team, you'll work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and other Fitters to maintain, service, and repair our cranes. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing & Repairing Cranes: Conduct regular maintenance, repairs, and breakdown support for cranes to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical advice and guidance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal crane performance.
  • Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate service records, documenting all repairs, inspections, and any issues.
  • Collaboration: Work with operations teams to schedule repairs and ensure that the necessary materials and parts are available.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and efficiency, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Previous experience in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing faults in heavy machinery (cranes, construction equipment, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and proactively address issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet performance and safety standards.
  • A valid driver's license (for company van use).
