A high-growth media tech company in central Bristol is looking to add an experienced Data Analyst to its dynamic research team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in day-to-day projects while leveraging advanced SQL expertise to improve analytical processes and deliver valuable insights.

As a Data Analyst, you will take ownership of projects; mentor junior analysts; and contribute to innovations to simplify and enhance client-facing deliverables. A significant focus will involve creating aggregated databases to streamline content performance-reporting and help develop a user-friendly interface for clients.

Data Analyst - Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the research team to support day-to-day analytical projects.
  • Utilize SQL to enhance analytical efficiencies and interrogate respondent-level data effectively.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of aggregated databases summarizing content performance for client reporting.
  • Own end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering growth within the team.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve processes and outputs.
  • Stay updated with the latest analytics tools and methodologies to contribute to continuous improvement.

Data Analyst - Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
  • Ability to work in the central Bristol office for at least three days a week
  • Intermediate level Excel skills to include pivot tables; VLOOKUPs and ideally macros
  • Proficiency in SQL for database management and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience working with respondent-level or survey data is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the media industry is a bonus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
