We are working with a not-for-profit organisation based in Bristol to recruit a Data Engineer for their growing, friendly, and supportive team. This role offers hybrid working with a requirement to travel to Bristol twice a month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft solutions within the product team based on customer requirements
  • Facilitate the adoption of a streamlined architecture
  • Collaborate on infrastructure upkeep and support
  • Oversee AWS (or similar) for configuring services, setting permissions, and deploying software
  • Design, maintain, and configure databases within the software environment
  • Develop and sustain automated test suites
  • Embrace agile methodologies and actively engage in sprint reviews and retrospectives
  • Implement and maintain continuous integration and delivery systems

Ideal Candidate: We are seeking a Data Engineer who is approachable, supportive, and forward-thinking. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience
  • SQL
  • Python
  • Data warehouse concepts, modelling, design, best practices, data lakes
  • Source control
  • Data pipeline development
  • Snowflake
  • CI/CD
  • Power BI
  • Data Quality Frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations)
