Head of Data Engineering£320 per day to £440 per day Inside IR356 Month ContractRemote - occasional travel to site requiredJanuary StartExcellent opportunity for a Data Engineer with strong Project Management, Power BI & Microsoft Excel skills looking for a January start to join one of the largest employers in the UK in a highly varied and interesting, remote 6-month contract role.In this role you will have direct accountability for the organisation-wide analytics project to produce details and real time management / performance information reports. You will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of a new data warehouse, to deliver analytics for the transformation programme, operations, workforce and finance initiatives. This is a home based, remote role, with occasional travel to site required.The ideal candidate will be an experience Head of Data Engineering, or Data Engineer, qualified in Project Management (PRINCE 2), with strong Power Bi, SQL & Microsoft Excel skills. Experience designing, developing and managing data warehouses and experience designing, developing and managing ETL processes is key.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a strong and stable organisation in a varied and interesting 6 month contract role that has the potential to be extended.The role:*Leading the analytics function to deliver robust data services*Recognise and share opportunities for data products and services*Be responsible for the build of data-streaming systems*Coordinate analytic resource and set best practice and standards*Apply knowledge of systems and integration*Champion data engineering across the organisation*Home based, remote role, with occasional travel to site requiredThe person:*Data Engineering / Head of Data Engineering experience*Project Management - PRINCE 2 certified*Strong Microsoft Excel & Power BI skills*Experience managing Data Warehouses and ETL processes*Strong SQL, SSRS, SSIS skills
