Associate Flood Risk Consultant
Location: Bristol
Full-time | Permanent | Hybrid working available

Our client is looking for an experienced and passionate Associate level Flood Risk Consultant to join their team in Bristol and play a key leadership role as they continue to grow. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark - shaping a talented team, leading projects, and helping us explore new and innovative areas of work.

What You'll Be Doing:

Technical Leadership
路Support project teams with expert hydrological and hydraulic assessments.
路Use modelling tools like TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, ESTRY, or MicroDrainage/InfoWorks ICM for drainage modelling.
路Lead the preparation of technical reports, briefing notes, and design documentation.
路Mentor junior team members through 1-1 support and team learning sessions.

People & Project Collaboration
路Act as the main point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders in Bristol.
路Work closely with engineers, planners, and other specialists on multidisciplinary projects.
路Help identify and secure new workstreams, contributing to business development.
路Represent the team with integrity, honesty, and professionalism.

What We're Looking For:
路Significant experience in flood risk and hydrology, preferably in a consultancy environment.
路Proven track record of hydraulic/hydrological modelling and technical reporting.
路A passion for mentoring and developing others.
路Strong communication and client-facing skills.
路A proactive, positive mindset - someone who genuinely enjoys what they do and brings that energy to the team.
