Marine Operative (Port Craft)
£33,000+ depending on experience + Overtime after 39 hours & Annual Bonus £1,000
Overtime time & - Plenty of overtime
Hours: Full time, Full time, 39 hours per week, 3 x 12 hrs shifts for three weeks and 4 x 12 hour shifts for one week.
Location: Avonmouth / Portbury

Objective/s:
Provide Marine support to the port marine craft, including dredger & tug boat.
Responsibilities:
Act as crew for various port craft.
Tying up of ship, letting go.
General maintenance.
Boat handling.
Assist where necessary with other duties in the Harbour within specified working hours.
Act as Coxswain/Master of the support boat Gordano.
Qualifications:
UK MCA/RYA approved marine (Deck) qualifications.
oMinimum per Workboat Code 3, Table A5.1. for area category 6 as Master.
oIf RYA these must be commercially endorsed.
STCW Basic Safety Training.
Must have a Yachtmaster commercially endorsed or equivalent. Training may be offered for the commercially endorsed requirement.
Requirements:
Background in harbour and small craft is preferable.
Previous dredging and Shoalbuster experience is preferable.
