A well-regarded SEN school in Bristol is seeking a Graduate teaching Assistant to join their team to help to support SEN pupils in their daily learning. The school supports children with complex needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), and communication difficulties. They offer a holistic approach to education, focusing on both academic learning and emotional well-being.
This full-time, long-term position starts ASAP and provides an excellent opportunity for graduates interested in education, psychology, or therapeutic roles. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of teachers, therapists, and external professionals to deliver tailored support to each student.
Role Details:- Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Focus Areas: SEMH, Autism, ADHD, Complex Learning Needs
- Start Date: ASAP
- Location: Bristol
- Salary: £90-£100 per day
- Hours: Full-time, Mon-Fri, 8:30am - 4:00pm
- Ideal for: Psychology Graduates and related degrees
- Support children with complex needs in the classroom and during activities
- Collaborate with teachers and external specialists (psychologists, speech therapists, etc.) to implement personalized care plans
- Provide emotional and therapeutic support, fostering a positive and inclusive environment
- Psychology Graduate or similar background (e.g. Education, Sociology, Social Work)
- Passionate about supporting children with special needs
- Strong communication skills, adaptability, and teamwork
- Experience in SEN is a plus but not required
