We are seeking a Level 2 Qualified Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in the Bristol area.

This is for a 2 form entry Primary School that is passionate about providing a team of staff who encourage children to have an inquisitive mindset, take pride in their achievements and have high expectations of their own values.

You will help to create these learning environments where pupils can expand their knowledge.

The Role

This role is a full-time Teaching Assistant position starting before the Easter Holidays.

The successful candidate will need to be proactive and energetic, inspiring students to be confident and independent with their learning.

The Head Teacher is looking for a flexible and creative candidate who has a supportive nature who can bring a calm and consistent environment for the children to learn. You will be expected to use your initiative to adapt and develop activities to support individual pupils’ understanding.

You will be expected to:

  • Be a Level 2 Qualified Teaching Assistant.

  • Have previous experience working with children in a classroom setting.

  • Be adaptable to allow each child to access the curriculum.

  • Implement planned activities and adjust according to the students’ response and development.

  • Have great behaviour management skills

  • Support the children on a social and emotional aspect.

  • Work with the school SENCo to gain ideas on how to support each child.
