We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join an amazing school team in BS3, Bristol. Job Description:Under the direction of the SENDCo/Inclusion Leaders, the Teaching Assistant will:

  • Work under the supervision of a teacher to plan, deliver, and evaluate learning activities for small groups or individual students, providing feedback on student engagement and achievement.
  • Oversee and monitor students' responses to learning activities and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Provide detailed, accurate, and objective feedback to teachers and parents/carers on student progress and achievement.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, enabling them to fully participate in education and improve outcomes.
  • Supervise the class during the short-term irregular absence of the class teacher and deliver pre-prepared activities

The successful applicant will have:

  • A minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (including GCSEs in Maths and English Grade C or equivalent).
  • An understanding of and a vision for the care and education of children aged 4-11, particularly those with a range of Special Educational Needs.
  • The skills to engage all children in their learning.
  • The ability to work as part of a team under direction, as well as use their initiative when required.
