Somerset Education Alliance, a 10 year old award-winning agency are looking for Primary specialists to fill exciting teaching Assistant opportunities in the Chew Valley area.

We cover day to day, short term and long-term supply, and are always on the look out for Primary teachers, secondary teachers, cover supervisors, HLTAs and teaching assistants to join our team for opportunties in Chew Valley and the surrounding areas.

The Job Role

We are looking for passionate and driven teaching support staff to join our team for supply teaching assistant assignments in and around the Chew Valley area.

To cover day to day, long-term, short-term, and permanent positions in a variety of educational settings. Flexible working hours available, accommodating full or part-time working.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

- Supporting the class teacher

- Following safeguarding and school policies

- working 1:1 or with whole classes

- Liaising with school staff

Teaching Assistant Essentials

- Previous experience working alongside children

- Knowledge of the curriculum

- A current DBS, or Update Service subscription (the agency can apply for this)

- A 3 year minimum reference history

- Reliability

- Excellent communication skills
